Meet Blu!

This vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix is looking for a family to call her own. Blu is a 65-pound bundle of love with a beautiful brown brindle coat and white accents. She followed a kind soul home from the grocery store and has been showered with affection ever since. She's spayed, vaccinated, and has lived harmoniously with senior dogs and cats. Now, she's ready for a home where she can truly stretch her legs and be part of a daily routine.

Blu is affectionate, incredibly smart, and eager to please. Her favorite activities include playing fetch with her frisbee, epic games of tug-o-war, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard. She also loves supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard strips, which has helped her channel her natural chewing instincts without damaging anything off-limits.

Ideal Home

Blu would thrive in an active household that can match her energy and curiosity. A fenced yard would be a big plus!

Blu is spayed and vaccinated. No ongoing health concerns are noted.

Training & Support

Blu knows an impressive list of commands and loves to learn with treats and praise. She is working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps and is making good progress with positive reinforcement. As an energetic young dog, she can get excitable, sometimes resulting in jumping, though her caregivers have worked extensively on this. She can also be destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is essential.
