Truffle (Cornfield 6)

Truffle is an amazing young lady, weighing in at 50 pounds and estimated to be 1-2 years old. She came to her current foster on March 7th and has made great progress in her loving foster home. Truffle is 100% snuggles and cuddles, preferring to curl up next to people or a canine or feline friend. She was initially afraid to walk through doors, but now she comes and goes when called. She is a smart cookie, sitting for treats and taking them gently. Truffle is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out by nudging or giving kisses. She seems to understand the word "outside?" Her foster is currently working with her on leash training.

Ideal Home

Truffle picks a human to listen to but also follows the dog pack. She needs a patient human who wants a snuggle buddy and could do well in a home with a well-mannered pack. She is not an alpha and needs either humans in charge or healthy dog leaders. We are not sure how she is with young children as she has not lived with them.

Ongoing Health

Truffle is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Truffle is crate trained when home alone. She does need chew toys, or she will grab the nearest item; remotes and socks seem to be favorites, though she has not destroyed any clothing items, she just carries them around. She loves to roughhouse play with all the dogs in the foster home and is fine with cats.
