Meet Bret! He's a 1-year-old, 35-pound Australian Cattle Dog/Rat Terrier mix with a heart full of love and energy to spare. Bret is a wonderful, affectionate boy who truly embraces life with enthusiasm. He's a natural athlete who loves to run, play, and soak up all the attention he can get. His intelligence and drive make him a prime candidate for dog sports, or he'd be thrilled to join an active family ready for hiking, running, water adventures, and all sorts of outdoor fun.

Ideal Home

Bret would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his energy. He does well with other dogs and would be happiest with a canine companion to share his adventures and help burn off some energy. He is not a good fit for homes with cats, as he tends to play too rough with them. His experience with small children is currently unknown.

Ongoing Health

Bret is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Bret is a well-trained pup! He's crate trained and leash trained, and he even has a charming "auto-sit" when you stop walking. He knows commands like down, stay, come, and leave it, and he appears to be house-trained. Bret has graduated from basic and intermediate obedience classes and is now working on advanced obedience.

Bret is currently located in Spring Hill, FL. His foster is willing to travel within 2 hours of Spring Hill for an approved adoption applicant.
