Meet Idgie, a beautiful 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who weighs around 62 pounds! She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and all caught up on her care, making her ready to find her forever home. Idgie has a quiet charm and soulful eyes that will capture your heart. She truly shines when she's with her people and enjoys having a canine companion, doing wonderfully with other dogs her size. She's also friendly with cats and has been around children of all ages, always showing a calm and gentle demeanor.

Ideal Home

Idgie would love a home with at least one other dog her size to be her friend. She is a bit of an escape artist, so a yard with at least 6-foot fencing is recommended.

Training & Support

Idgie is a house-trained and crate-trained dog who has successfully slept in her crate for up to nine hours. She has also been known to sleep soundly on the floor next to her foster's bed. Idgie can exhibit some resource guarding around her food bowl, so she is fed separately from other pets. She has no issues with treats, toys, or bones, just her food. With simple management at mealtime, she continues to thrive.
