Meet Damon! This handsome, chocolate-colored fellow is goofy, happy, and eager to be your friend! He is a social man when it comes to meeting new humans, so come on down! Damon was brought to us because his family was facing unstable housing, and they wanted to give him a better life. He did very well with children in this home.

Ideal Home

Damon is a social dog who loves meeting new people. While he did well with children in his previous home, he may be a bit jumpy for very young children. Damon has a tendency to bark at other dogs and may chase cats and squirrels, so he would likely do best in a home without other pets.

Ongoing Health

Despite his young age and zest for life, Damon has arthritis and fluid build-up in his knees. He is currently being treated with pain medication and a joint supplement. It will be important for him to have regular vet visits to monitor his health, and he will be most comfortable if kept at a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Damon may need continued support to manage his prey drive towards smaller animals and other dogs. A consistent routine and positive reinforcement can help him thrive.
