Kenna is the perfect companion. She’s as easygoing as they come, and loves her life as a house dog. She’s a true soul dog that’s just still looking for her soulmate. We know they’re out there.
Caring for Kenna is simple- she’s potty trained, house trained, quiet, calm, and always up to give out a few kisses or greet you with some full body wiggles. Kenna is a low energy gal who loves to be a couch potato and lay around in her dog beds or curled up on the furniture. Kenna will happily go and snooze away in a crate, or is perfectly content to be left out when her people are gone or at night during bedtime. She does enjoy taking toys to her bed with her, and seems to know exactly what is a toy up for grabs vs what isn’t. It’s been so fun to watch her come out of her shell.
Kenna is truly a dream girl and we can’t believe she is still on the hunt for her dream family. She doesn’t need much, just needs some loving pals to take her under their wing- whether they’re human or other animals. She gets along great with other dogs of all sizes, is fine with cats, and is happy to befriend any humans. While it may take her a bit to show her warm & fuzzy side vs her shy side- she’ll repay the simple act of giving her a warm, cozy home with endless love, gratitude, and thankful kisses.
Ideal Home
Kenna’s perfect adopter will have the perfect chill vibes, want the most loyal & kind companion, and will be ready to open their home to one of the easiest dogs on earth.
Ongoing Health
Kenna suffers from a protozoan disease called hepatozoon americanum, an incurable disease caused by ingesting an infected tick. Fortunately, hepatozoonosis is treatable so Kenna does have daily medication that she will be on for at least the next 2 years, if not for the rest of her life. They aren’t expensive and she takes these easily sprinkled on her food. Kenna’s case is perfectly well-managed by her doctors. While we’re hopeful for Kenna is healed, there is a small chance of regression or need for retreatment with a course of antibiotics throughout her life, but especially in times of other illness or high-stress.
