Axel von Alsfeld is a gorgeous 2-year-old German Shepherd with a beautiful, richly colored longer coat. This sweet and fluffy fellow warms up quickly to people and absolutely loves soaking up all the affection he can get. Axel is larger in size and can be strong, so he does need someone who can handle his size on walks. He is both brains and brawn, having mastered commands like "sit," "down," and "shake"—and he even understands them in Spanish! He's treat-motivated and enjoys training, so he is ready and willing to learn even more. Axel enjoys pup pals and did great in playgroup, and would be best paired with another playful dog if there's another dog in the home. He's not for cats. If you are looking for a big, sweet male who is eager to please, Axel is ready to greet you with a happy heart! He was rescued from a local animal shelter.

Transporation

Axel is currently located at our Westside rescue facility in Los Angeles, CA. He can be adopted and transported anywhere in the US and Canada. Transport costs vary based on destination, and both ground and air transportation are available to most locations within the US (except Hawaii) and Canada. Dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue, and the adoption contract and fees are finalized prior to transport.
