Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female pitbull terrier mix who weighs around 45 pounds. She's a sweet, gentle girl who has overcome a tough start in life, having been rescued from the streets in poor condition. Addie is a willing and promising pupil, eager to learn what it means to be a loved house dog. She's crate trained and sleeps soundly in her kennel at night. While she's still perfecting her house manners and might have an occasional accident, she's making great progress. Addie is a survivor with incredible resilience, and she’s ready to embrace her new "Soft Life Era" filled with love and affection.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard for her to roam and run in. She enjoys longer walks, aiming for 20-30 minutes twice a day. She would benefit from a male dog sibling of equal to bigger size (40-60lbs) to cuddle with and learn from, as she prefers male canine companions. While she's generally gentle, older, calmer pre-teens and teenagers might be the best fit for her, and any interactions with children should always be supervised.
Ongoing Health
Addie was rescued with mange and was significantly underweight. She has since recovered and is now healthy, but she is still learning and may have occasional accidents as she settles into a new routine.
Training & Support
Addie is generally well-behaved but may have occasional accidents as she adjusts to a new home. She is a "hungry, hungry hippo" and will try to eat other pets' food, so feeding her separately is recommended until she's fully settled. She is not very playful but enjoys interacting with male dogs her size or larger. She is curious about female dogs but hasn't found a playmate yet.
