Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of joy looking for her forever home! This sweet girl is a true cuddle bug who also loves to play. Dottie is incredibly loyal and will be your shadow, always wanting to be by your side. She's a very intelligent and food-motivated dog, which makes training a breeze – she picks up new commands quickly! Her goofy personality and playful antics are sure to bring endless laughter into your life.
Ideal Home
Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can get at least one good walk or play session a day. She enjoys playing with rope toys and stuffies, and can often be found engaging in a fun game of tug-o-war. While Dottie is generally dog-friendly and lives with other dogs in her foster home, she does best with one or two calm, larger dogs and can get overstimulated in large groups. She would also be happy as the only pet, enjoying all your attention. Dottie is also cat-friendly and lives harmoniously with cats in her foster home, sometimes engaging in play if initiated. A significant consideration is that Dottie has issues with younger men and boys, likely due to a past negative experience. She is perfectly fine with adult men but would do best in a home without young males or an all-female household. She is wonderful when meeting women.
Ongoing Health
Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is in good health and ready for her new life!
Training & Support
Dottie is fully potty trained and has excellent house manners, even being allowed to free roam in her foster home. She is also crate trained and enjoys her kennel, often relaxing in it while her foster mom works. While she walks calmly on leash, she can pull and bark when she sees other dogs. Training her to ignore distractions on walks will be beneficial. Her intelligence and food motivation make her a quick learner, eager to please.
