Penny

Penny is a sweet, shy girl who is just a little over a year old. She had a difficult start in life, living in a hoarding situation where she was often overlooked and bullied by other dogs. Because of this, Penny learned to make herself small and stay out of the way. She's still learning to trust and is cautious around new people and situations. She watches from a distance before deciding to engage, and every kind word, gentle touch, and cozy bed is a new and wonderful experience for her. Penny is looking for someone who understands her past and is willing to celebrate her small victories, like her first tail wag or cuddle. With patience and love, she will blossom into a cherished companion who knows she never has to fight for her place again.

Ideal Home

Penny needs a patient and gentle home that will allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. She is not looking for a high-energy environment, but rather someone who will appreciate and celebrate her progress.

Penny is spayed and vaccinated.

Penny is house-trained. She will need continued patience and positive reinforcement to build her confidence.
