Max is a 6-year-old, 57lb standard poodle looking for a new home after his owner moved into a memory care facility. He's been well-loved and taken care of, and is a truly sweet and playful boy with no mean bones in his body. Max can fit in almost anywhere and would be happy as an only dog or with a canine friend his size. He would do best in a home without very small dogs or cats. This perfect gentleman has great manners, sleeps through the night in his own bed, is house-trained, and is comfortable being left loose when you're not home, though he dislikes crates. He would love a home where someone is around often. Max knows several commands, enjoys playing with toys and squeaky balls, and will even play soccer by himself! He is not an alpha dog but rather a goofy, sweet boy who needs an active home that will provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime. The best part? Max gives hugs and will lean his head into you when you need it, making him a truly wonderful companion.
