Rocky

Meet Rocky! Rocky is a charming 13-year-old, 15-pound bundle of joy, likely a spirited Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix. He joined us when his previous family could no longer care for him. Despite his current skin condition, Rocky is a happy boy full of life! He's receiving treatment for demodex mange with weekly medicated baths and antibiotics. Once his skin has healed, we'll assess his grade 3 heart murmur and then schedule a dental cleaning.

Ideal Home

Rocky would thrive in a calm home environment. If children are present, they should be 12 years and older.

Ongoing Health

Rocky is currently being treated for demodex mange. He also has a grade 3 heart murmur that will be assessed after his skin has healed. He is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Rocky has excellent house manners and is house-trained, provided he gets to go outside every few hours during the day. He sleeps through the night, walks well on a leash, and doesn't chew inappropriate items, preferring his toys and bones. He is good with other dogs and has been great with the 14-year-old girl in his foster home. We have no information on his compatibility with cats.

• A veterinary check of your current and past pets is required. This includes ensuring pets are up-to-date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives, and examined annually by a vet.
