Miranda

Miranda is an approximately 1 year and 9 month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 46 pounds. She is a very affectionate girl with lots of energy and a naturally protective personality. Miranda forms strong bonds with her people and likes to stay aware of her surroundings. She will bark if she senses something is wrong or if she feels threatened or mistreated. Although she is loving and social, Miranda can be a little nervous at first and may need some time to feel fully comfortable in new situations. She was rescued from the streets of Houston and is now safe and ready to find a forever family that will give her the love, stability, and companionship she has always deserved.

Ideal Home

Miranda would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and a family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open conscience about street animals and their needs for protection and education, experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.

Ongoing Health

Miranda has received her spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She has a heartworm test certificate and a health certificate, along with a vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Miranda is crate trained and walks well on a leash. However, she is not house-trained, and it's important to note that the rescue is unable to house-train each pet due to the number of animals in foster care. She can be a little nervous in new situations and may need time to adjust.

Transportation

Miranda is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the PNW. The transport fee is $400.00 and will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
