About Opal

Opal is a beautiful Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever mix, around 12 years old and weighing 55 lbs. She and her twin sister, Pearl, were found as strays and have adjusted wonderfully in their foster home. Opal has the gentle Golden Retriever sweetness and the calm Pyr temperament that make her an easy dog to love. She learned potty training quickly and has had no accidents. Opal shows no food or toy aggression, gets along great with other dogs, and is good with kids. She barks at cats but does not chase. Opal enjoys comfort and has fallen in love with air conditioning, fans, couches, and soft beds. She is playful and joins in when the other dogs are having fun. She rides well in the car, comes when called, and now goes in and out of the house confidently. She is a gentle, affectionate girl who is learning to trust more every day. Opal will make a wonderful companion for a family who appreciates her calm nature, her soft personality, and her growing confidence.

Ideal Home

A fenced backyard is required. An adult who is home more during the day and children 7 years of age or older would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Opal is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Opal has no known behavioral issues that need work. She comes when called and is confident going in and out of the house.
