Ivy

Ivy is a beautiful 1-year-old Redbone Hound/Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to steal your heart! Weighing around 50 pounds, she's the whole package: loving, smart, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. Ivy never meets a stranger and greets everyone with a wagging tail and a friendly paw shake, always eager for affection. She even has a calming effect on other dogs, as evidenced by her friendship with Roxas, a German Shepherd who typically doesn't like other dogs. Ivy walks beautifully on a leash, exhibits excellent manners at home and in public, and easily adjusts to new situations. She's happy to join you for quiet evenings or exciting adventures. Ivy is also great with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. She ended up in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own, but her sweet temperament helped save her life. Now, she's looking for a forever family to shower with the love she so readily gives.

Ideal Home

Ivy would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of love and attention. She needs an adequately and fully fenced yard; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Ivy is fully vetted, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is kept on heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Ivy has excellent manners and is described as well-behaved.

Transportation

Ivy is currently being fostered in Texas. She can be transported anywhere in the United States and Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters, with fees ranging from $200-$300 for the East Coast and $250-$350 for the West Coast.
