Rugsy

Hi there! My name is Rugsy, and I'm a handsome, almost 7-year-old, 60lb. Boxer mix boy with a whole lot of love to give! I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I promise to be your most loyal companion. I'm looking for a patient and understanding family who will give me the space I need to feel comfortable. I also think I'd do best in a home with another doggy friend to help me come out of my shell. I love to play and run, so a fenced-in backyard is a must for me!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient family that is okay with me observing at first and willing to give me time to warm up. A home with another dog is best. I will need more than one meet and greet before adoption. A privacy-fenced in backyard is a must for me to run and play, so apartments are not ideal. I need a home without little kids, as they can be a bit too loud for me, and definitely no feline friends.

Ongoing Health

My adoption fee is sponsored and covers my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.

Training & Support

I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. I'm not a fan of crates, but I'm happy to relax in a doggie playpen.

Transportation

I am currently located in Springfield, MO. We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. The adopter is responsible for coming to get me and returning me if the adoption does not work out.
