Max

Meet Max! This handsome 1-year-old Jindo/Mastiff mix is a resilient soul who has overcome a difficult past. He was rescued from a slaughterhouse when it was shut down, and while his beginning was rough, he's made incredible progress. Max can be shy and withdrawn in new situations, taking a couple of days to feel comfortable and open up. But once he does, he's a total love bug who adores cuddling and being close to his people. He's also a loyal protector of his family! Max is a big fan of food, and treats are a great way to his heart.

Ideal Home

Max would thrive in a home with adults (16+) who understand his need for patience and time to adjust. He is not comfortable in kennels.

Ongoing Health

Max is a healthy boy who has been through a lot. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Max is housebroken and is currently in training to be comfortable on leash, as it can be a trigger from his past. Patience and positive reinforcement, especially with treats, will be key to his continued success.
