Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who came to us from Texas. He's a shy but friendly gentleman who craves affection and attention, even if he's not quite sure how to show his excitement yet. We suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time!

Ideal Home

Alder would thrive in a home with a calmer, playful dog who can help him learn how to interact with his canine companions. He's a bit protective of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. He doesn't seem to mind cats and would likely do well in a home with children beyond the screeching years. A fenced yard would be ideal, but he walks well on a leash, making a home without one acceptable as long as you're committed to regular walks. Please note, he is not a dog who will stay close to home if allowed to wander in the yard.
