Athena

Athena has the grace and wisdom of a mature dog, but she's lively enough to chase a tennis ball! She is smart, very attentive, and treat-motivated, taking her rewards gently. Athena even knows tricks like "paw" and "speak"! She is a lady in the car, riding in the back seat on special trips to Wendy's. Volunteers enjoy taking Athena on weekly trail walks where she has met horses, other walkers, and bicyclists with calm interest. She was curious about the horses but kept her distance. Athena loves to sniff and give kisses!

Ideal Home

Athena would do best in a home without small children, as she has previously crouched and backed away from a boisterous child who approached her too quickly.

Ongoing Health

Athena is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Athena is house-trained. While she knows tricks like "paw" and "speak," she sometimes decides not to bring the tennis ball back after a game of fetch.
