Suni

Suni, approximately 3 years old and weighing 11.5 lbs, is a charming Havanese with a heart of gold. Once part of a hoarding situation, Suni and his housemates were rescued by OMD and have since been learning what it means to be a loved companion. He's been nicknamed "Sooner," "Grandpa," and "Slowpoke" by his foster family, but his spirit is medium-high energy. Suni is curious and loves to get your attention with gentle pawing, and he's a master of rolling over and nuzzling up against you. He even helps out when it's time for his harness!

Ideal Home

Suni would thrive in a home that can offer him lots of love and attention. He does best with children aged 5 and up, as very young, loud children can make him nervous. He has done well with other dogs, including those he's currently fostered with, and should be fine with cats due to his gentle nature. A family that isn't consistently gone for long periods would be ideal, as Suni is working on his independence and can experience some anxiety when left alone.

Ongoing Health

Suni is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is still learning to be fully house-trained but is making excellent progress and will do best with a patient family that can maintain a consistent routine.

Training & Support

Suni is working on building his confidence in the outside world and learning to be more independent. He is crate-trained, but may protest when initially left alone, though he does settle down. Consistent positive reinforcement and patience will be key to his continued success.
