Meet Oliver! Oliver is a ~5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler mix) with a big personality, a sharp mind, and an even bigger love for adventure. If you’re looking for a dog who’s ready to be your hiking buddy, road trip co-pilot, and sunshine-loving sidekick, Oliver is your guy. He absolutely thrives when he has something to do — whether it’s exploring trails, learning new tricks, or just soaking up the sun while watching birds like it’s his full-time job. Oliver is smart, active, and eager to engage. He's loyal and people-focused, with a playful and fun, goofy side. He loves structure, routine, and purpose, making him a total outdoor adventure partner.

Ideal Home

Oliver is looking for an active, engaged home that will take him on adventures, continue his training, and give him outlets for his energy and intelligence. He’s not a couch potato — he’s a partner in life. Oliver does well with other dogs, but slow introductions are recommended. He is best suited for older kids or adults and his compatibility with cats is unknown.

Oliver is neutered, healthy, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Oliver isn’t just smart — he’s trained and ready to impress with skills like Sit, Heel, Weave, and "Soft bark," among others! He’s currently working with a trainer and continuing to build great habits. Training support is available for adopters in the Reno area, which is a huge bonus. Oliver really loves his things (especially food) — and while he’s been working hard on sharing and boundaries, he’ll do best in a home that understands resource guarding, can continue reinforcing his training, and sets him up for success with structure.
