Millie

Hi there, I'm Millie, a sweet, smart, and food-motivated 12-year-old pit bull mix weighing around 50 pounds. I'm spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I'm also house, crate, and leash trained, and I walk beautifully on a leash. Car rides are one of my favorite things!

While I'm a loving girl, I have faced some challenges. I can be fearful of men and may exhibit fear-snapping if startled. I need a patient and confident person to help me feel safe and secure. Due to my fears, I can also guard my resources, especially food from other dogs and treats from humans. Please give me space when I'm enjoying a bone.

I am good with children who understand and respect my boundaries, and I would do best with older kids who recognize I'm a sensitive dog. I am selective with other dogs and prefer a friendly, easygoing canine companion who won't overwhelm me. I am not friendly with cats.

Ideal Home

A calm and peaceful environment with a responsible and caring person who is 21 or older. A home with older children who can respect my boundaries is ideal.

Training & Support

I am house, crate, and leash trained and walk well on a leash. I need a patient person to help me overcome my fear of men and my tendency to fear-snap. I also guard my resources, so I need an owner who understands and can manage this.
