Life is simply more fun with Lentil Lou around! This sweet and goofy girl has the joyful spirit of an oversized shepherd puppy with a heart full of endless love. Lentil Lou is incredibly social and greets everyone with pure happiness, always ready to make a new friend. She absolutely adores other dogs and lights up during playtime, bouncing around with playful enthusiasm. Lentil Lou brings laughter, affection, and nonstop cuteness wherever she goes. She's approximately 1 year old and weighs 48 lbs. Lentil Lou is a German Shepherd mix, though breed and age cannot be guaranteed. She is as sweet as they come and is a social butterfly who adores every person she meets. Lentil has been gentle around young children and would be happiest in a home with kids 12 and older.
Ideal Home
Lentil Lou would thrive in a home with a semi-active family that enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a super affectionate girl. She'd also make an amazing adventure buddy, and would love a backyard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the sunshine.
Ongoing Health
Lentil Lou is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea and heartworm prevention, and is spayed. She is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Lentil Lou is a smart girl who is treat motivated and eager to please. She already knows how to sit and walks fairly nicely on a leash, though she may pull occasionally out of excitement. She responds well to gentle reminders and is comfortable tandem walking with other dogs. Lentil is crate trained and potty trained. Training with Lentil will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience with patience, consistency, and treats.

Transportation
Lentil Lou is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
