Comet

Comet is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old hound mix who weighs about 60lbs. He's a wonderful boy who loves spending time outdoors and snuggling up on the couch. In his foster home, he enjoys participating in his humans' activities, whether it's exploring the woods or helping around the house. Once his chores are done, he's happy to relax with his foster family and furry siblings, either on the couch or in bed. Comet spent some time in a boarding kennel where he did okay with a kennel mate, but we've discovered he's a bit claustrophobic and dislikes enclosed spaces, including crates. He was previously injured while trying to escape a crate, but has fully recovered without any lasting damage.

Ideal Home

Comet needs a home where his people are around often and he can have free roam of the house, as he is not comfortable in crates. He has not shown any destructive behaviors when left uncrated and seems to enjoy lounging with other dogs. While he hasn't lived with young children, he is a calm and gentle giant, and we believe he would do well with older children or possibly younger children who are respectful. He would likely thrive in a quiet home where he can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle.

Training & Support

Comet has a strong dislike for crates due to claustrophobia and a past injury. He has been doing well without a crate in his foster home and has not exhibited destructive behaviors when left alone.
