Missy (GA)

Missy is a beautiful 8-year-old Lab/Chow mix, weighing in at 54 lbs. She came to us from Georgia with a terribly painful skin infection and mange, but look at her now – absolutely stunning! Missy was extremely scared of people when she first came into foster care, but she has truly blossomed and is now the life of the party in her foster family's pack. She MUST have another dog in the home, as she builds confidence and finds much happiness and peace surrounded by other canines. She does well with male and female dogs of all sizes. Missy is VERY shy and timid at first with human strangers and needs to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels secure, she turns into a playful, loving, and affectionate girl who brings joy wherever she goes! She is spayed, crate trained, and house trained, with very nice manners in the home. Missy enjoys her crate as her personal "den" and finds security there.

Ideal Home

Missy MUST have another dog in the home to help her build confidence. She also requires a fenced yard to run around in. Her new family must be willing to allow her to open up and trust at her own pace and seek attention in her own time.

Ongoing Health

Missy has fully recovered from her past skin infection and mange. She is current on age-appropriate vaccines.

Training & Support

Missy is crate trained and house trained and has very nice manners in the home. She enjoys her crate for security. Her adopter must be patient as she builds trust with new people.

Missy is currently located in foster care. We can provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
