About TUCK

Hi there! My name is Tuck, and if you've been dreaming of a big, fluffy best friend with an even bigger heart, I think we should meet. I'm a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees, and I'm a gentle, loyal guy who loves spending time with my people. I also happen to be very good at supervising everything around me. Like many Great Pyrenees, I'm smart, independent, and always paying attention to what's happening. I enjoy quiet companionship, leisurely strolls, and having a cozy place to stretch out after a long day of making sure everything is just as it should be. I may look like a giant teddy bear, but I'm also a thoughtful fellow who appreciates a calm, understanding home. I can't wait to meet you and show you what a wonderful friend I can be.

Ideal Home

I would be happiest with older children who know how to respectfully interact with a big dog like me. I appreciate people who understand that everyone likes a little personal space sometimes. I'd really prefer to have my home all to myself, as I've learned that I'm happiest when I don't have to share my space with another canine companion, so I'm looking for a family where I can be your one and only four-legged friend. I promise I have more than enough love to fill your home all by myself! I'd love to trade my kennel for a peaceful home, whether that's my forever family or even a foster home while I wait for the right match. I know my true personality shines brightest when I'm in a calm environment where I can relax and simply be myself.

Ongoing Health

When I arrived at the shelter, it had been a very long time since anyone had taken care of my beautiful coat. The wonderful groomer here has been patiently helping me through gentle, fear-free grooming sessions, and I'm making great progress. Since Great Pyrenees need regular grooming to stay healthy and comfortable, I'll need a family and groomer who will continue using that same kind, patient approach so I can keep building my confidence.

Training & Support

I'm learning that grooming doesn't have to be scary! I'll need a family and groomer who will continue using a kind, patient approach to help me keep building my confidence. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for me, and I'm doing my best. I know my true personality shines brightest when I'm in a calm environment where I can relax and simply be myself.
