Meet Juice, a sweet and charming 4-year-old, 56 lb Black Mouth Cur mix with eyes that speak volumes and a heart yearning for security. Known to his foster family as Joey, Juice is affectionate and loves to cuddle, especially when he can rest his head on your arm – his special way of showing love. He enjoys his toys, but his favorite activity is simply being by your side. Juice can be a bit shy and cautious around new people, but with slow and gentle introductions, he builds trust and becomes incredibly loyal.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a calm and loving environment with patient, soft-spoken adults. He needs a home where he can feel safe and cherished. Because he tends to chase cats, a cat-free home is a must. He would also be happiest as the only dog in the household, where he can receive all the attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression towards other dogs, but with routine and stability, he has made great progress and eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which can be managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. Harsh corrections can make him fearful, so he responds best to patience and kindness. He is crated when left alone due to his love for chewing and has had some potty accidents, though he sleeps well in his crate at night. He may need a little help getting into the car, but he always enjoys a ride!
