Since December 2024, Tanner has been in the loving care of Frosted Faces Foundation, where he has blossomed into a dog full of potential for an amazing new relationship. Tanner's affection is immediate; he'll greet you with hugs, press against you for scratches, and happily roll over for belly rubs. He's a responsive boy who tries his best when given training cues, whether in the yard, on walks, or in a home environment. This 6-year-old is no stranger to adventure, enjoying weekly runs and hikes, and has even had overnight field trips to experience life outside the kennel. During these outings, Tanner has proven to be a fantastic travel companion, enjoying car rides and napping between destinations. He's explored various places, from Coronado Island and Balboa Park to hiking trails and even a mall for a pup cup. He's equally content to relax indoors and watch a movie with you.
Tanner does have a tendency to "borrow" socks or nibble on blankets, but he's not destructive and enjoys a good chew toy or stick for comfort. He's encountered other dogs, cows, horses, birds, and goats without issue during his hikes. He's a gentle soul when accepting treats, making it his favorite way to meet new people. He also absolutely loves to be sprayed with a hose! When dining out at restaurants or breweries, Tanner is happy to rest by your side, provided he has his own treats for reinforcement.

Tanner can be protective of his home when people approach. He would thrive in a home as the only pet, where his new family can provide the necessary interventions to help him overcome this.
