Meet CharLee, a loving 2.5-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws! This gentle giant is looking for her forever home where she can share her playful spirit and cuddle bug nature. CharLee enjoys active adventures like hiking and playing, but also cherishes quiet time snuggled up by your side.

Ideal Home

CharLee would thrive in a home as an only dog, or with another large-breed dog. An owner with Great Dane experience would be ideal. She needs a home that understands her need for continued training and socialization. CharLee should not be placed in a home with cats or chickens.

Ongoing Health

CharLee is up to date on immunizations, heartworm/flea preventative, and has been spayed and pexied.

Training & Support

CharLee is house-trained, potty-trained, and can do well in a crate for short periods. She has completed basic training and knows commands like "Sit," "Go to your bed," "Leave It," and "Back" (recall). She's also working on "Stay" and "Down," though she can be hesitant with new surfaces. CharLee demonstrates food and toy possession, and can be territorial about people and places within her foster home, which will require ongoing management and positive reinforcement training. She also shows reactivity towards dogs when on leash and requires additional training for this.
