Hi, my name is Ned! I'm a happy boy with a handsome coat that looks black but turns a beautiful brown in the sunshine. My little white toes are super cute! While my expression might look a bit grumpy, I promise my heart is full of joy. I arrived in Minnesota from New Mexico with my siblings, Dusty and Lucky, as part of "The Three Amigos." I'm already potty trained and trustworthy enough to be left out when you're gone. At night, I'm a champion snuggler and love to sleep right beside my foster mom.
I know "sit," "off," "come," and "wait," and I'm working on "down" and "stay." Training classes sound like a blast – it would be a great way for us to bond! I love chasing anything that rolls, playing tug-of-war with unstuffed toys, and using my nose to find hidden treats. I do tend to be a bit of a counter surfer, but with consistent "off" commands, I'm learning. My foster mom calls me "Jaws" because I love to show off my teeth and gums when I wrestle with dogs of all sizes, making me look bigger and tougher than I am! I also go by "Snuffles" because I enjoy my meals from a snuffle mat, which helps me eat at a slower pace. I'm a fast drinker, so my water is rationed. I get along well with my foster siblings, but I really thrive with another dog around for support, comfort, and play. I'm not built to be an only dog.
Ideal Home
I would do best in a home with another dog to be my companion. I am friendly with children and enjoy meeting their friends.
