Meet Romeo, a sweet-natured little Feist mix with the softest heart. At just 11 months old and around 28 lbs, Romeo is a small-boned, athletic, long-legged companion who fits easily into almost any home. His short, easy-care coat and his expressive ears make him even more lovable. People guess all kinds of things when they meet him, but he truly embodies the wonderful traits of a Feist: smart, people-oriented, affectionate, loyal, gentle, and playful.
Romeo has lived in a shelter kennel for almost his entire life, but despite this, he is one of the happiest, most sociable dogs you'll ever meet. He loves people, loves other dogs, and loves being included in whatever you're doing. He's a soft, sensitive soul who just wants to feel safe and loved. Because he spent nearly his whole life in a kennel, crating is not allowed for him. If he needs to be safely contained when you leave, a baby gate in a doorway works perfectly, and he does very well with this setup. He does not chew and is a good boy.
Ideal Home
Romeo would thrive in a home with a fully fenced-in yard (no invisible fences). He would also be happy to have one other friendly dog in the home. Children 7 years of age or older are welcome. He needs someone who is home more during the day, as he thrives on companionship and routine. Crate containment is not an option for Romeo; a baby gate should be used if he needs to be safely contained.
Ongoing Health
Romeo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Romeo has lived in a kennel for most of his life, so crating is not permitted. If containment is needed, a baby gate in a doorway works well for him. He does not chew and is a good boy. He is a sensitive soul who blossoms with kindness and stability.
