Meet Athena, a petite 2-year-old, 37-pound Husky with blue eyes and a huge personality. She is smart, funny, affectionate, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Athena loves laps, couches, and personal space—preferably yours.

Ideal Home

Athena is dog-friendly and did well with a calm senior Labrador after slow introductions. She generally prefers dogs her size or smaller and would do best with respectful canine companions who do not come on too strong. She bonded quickly with teenage children in a family who took her in.

Athena loves furniture and would like a home where dogs are welcome on the couch. She is particular about her food and water, preferring one large meal, plenty of treats, bowls instead of buckets, and the good stuff over kibble.

Ongoing Health

Athena is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and currently healthy and happy. She previously arrived with fly damage on the tips of her ears and an untreated eye infection.

Training & Support

Athena is potty trained and kennel trained. A sturdy kennel is recommended because she likes testing the limits of wire crates. She is an energetic, opinionated Husky who enjoys pushing doors open and making herself comfortable from couch to couch.
