Cookie Dough is a new sensational senior at the shelter! This truly sweet soul does not belong in a shelter, but in a loving home! We're still getting to know Cookie Dough, but we can tell she's a real sweetheart.

We recommend that all household members, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers, come to meet Cookie Dough.

Ongoing Health

All dogs at the shelter are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Cookie Dough is not house-trained. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended for any resident dogs, after allowing time for decompression. We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s).

Transporation

Cookie Dough is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. The shelter is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
