Meet Kay Kay, a young female Kelpie mix with a personality as bouncy as her nickname suggests! Weighing in around 25–30 pounds, Kay Kay is a bundle of energy, love, and pure joy. She earned her "Kangaroo Kevin" nickname because she loves to hop and bounce, showing off her playful spirit. She'd likely excel in agility training! She loves playing with her dog friends, zooming around the backyard, and chewing on her favorite toys. Kay Kay is house-trained, kennel-trained, and gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs, as well as cats. She's a sweet, playful, and affectionate girl.
Ideal Home
Kay Kay is happiest and most confident in a home with a backyard where she can run freely. She also thrives with another dog to play and wrestle with. Because she's a herding breed and still learning boundaries, she is not recommended for homes with young children. She can be a bit nervous in busy public places, so an adopter who can help her build confidence in the outside world will be key.
Ongoing Health
Kay Kay recently completed her heartworm injections and is ready for a clean bill of health. All our dogs are vetted by a licensed veterinarian, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations before adoption.
Training & Support
While Kay Kay is house-trained and kennel-trained, she is still learning about boundaries due to her herding breed nature. She's a bit nervous on leash in busy public places and would benefit from a patient adopter who can help her build confidence.
