Montana

Meet beautiful Montana! She was found as a stray and never claimed. She is a very good girl, friendly, and good-natured. We believe she is a young adult, about 2 years old.

Montana is a graduate of the Paws in Prison program where she lived with inmate trainers for 8 weeks and met weekly with a certified dog trainer. She learned all the basics while there, including sit, down, stand, focus, wait, release stay, front/side heel sit, come, leave it, easy, kennel, roll over, and play dead!

Ideal Home

Montana is high energy and would thrive in a home that can keep up with her! She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. However, she doesn't always take cues from other dogs when they've had enough playtime, so a doggy sibling who is patient would be best.

Ongoing Health

Montana is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

While Montana knows many commands, she can be a bit independent and may ignore them at times. She also needs to work on her leash manners.

Montana is located in Arkansas. Transport is available to the New England area, with adopters needing to pick up in PA, NJ, or CT on Saturdays.
