Mary (Pickford) is one of 10 adorable pups who came to us from a challenging situation. Her mom looks like a scruffy terrier, but dad was a mystery! We did DNA testing on one of her siblings, revealing a fascinating mix of herding breeds, Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Husky, Pit Bull, Japanese Chin, and Golden Retriever. We call it "hybrid vigor," and it means no inbreeding here! We anticipate Mary will be a medium-sized dog, but that's just a guess – be prepared for her to be larger or smaller! Mary is a bundle of playful energy and is ready to find her forever home.
Ideal Home
Mary will thrive in a home that is committed to providing her with ample opportunities for socialization. This means introducing her to a wide variety of people, sounds (like vacuums and trucks), and everyday experiences. She also needs many chances to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Simply living with another dog is not enough; active socialization is key to her development.
Ongoing Health
Mary has been vet-checked, vaccinated, and de-wormed. She will require two additional puppy vaccinations and a rabies shot at the adopter's expense. Her spay surgery is required by 6 months of age and is covered by the adoption fee if performed at the PUP clinic.
Training & Support
Early socialization is crucial for Mary's development into a well-adjusted dog. This includes puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes. A tired dog is a good dog, so consistent exercise and mental stimulation will be important for her success.
