Meet Wish! This lovely 4-year-old female, weighing over 50lbs, is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. Wish has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is ready to find her forever home. She's a sweet girl who has made great progress in her foster home, especially considering she was initially a bit skittish and is still building trust, particularly with men who wear work boots and hats. Despite her initial hesitations, she's friendly with everyone and loves to snuggle on the couch. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, though she can be a bit strong at first until she understands their personalities. Wish is also curious about cats, but this is a work in progress as she can sometimes be too forward. She's potty trained and knows common commands, responding to her name and walking well on and off leash. Her foster mom notes that Wish has no boundaries with cats and some other dogs, so she would do best in a home with another submissive dog. She does experience slight separation anxiety, but she is working through it. Wish has a beautiful coat, and her foster mom believes she'll be a wonderful addition to any family or a single-person household.
Ideal Home
Wish would do best with another submissive dog. She has shown some suspicion towards men wearing work boots and hats. She can come on a little strong with other dogs and cats, so patience and understanding will be key.
Ongoing Health
Wish has gone through treatment for heartworm and is now healthy.
Training & Support
Wish is working on kennel training and has slight separation anxiety, but she enjoys chew toys and treat-filled toys. She is still learning boundaries with other animals and needs continued guidance. She is also working on using an e-collar.
