Meet Troy Strurtz. Irish Terriers are among the oldest terrier breeds and have been recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) since 1885. We adopted our first Irish Terrier, Abbie, in the summer of 2009 when she was five years old. She had been found running laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and we fell in love with her right away. Abbie was the gentlest, most loving, and loyal dog we ever had. She always wanted to be wherever we were. Even though she was gentle, she was also one of the best watchdogs we’ve known. In 2020, Abbie passed away and we were heartbroken. Soon after, we began searching for another Irish Terrier. In 2021, we welcomed Bridget and Flynnegan into our family and quickly fell in love with them too. That’s when we decided to start breeding Irish Terriers, focusing on the traits we cherished most. Irish Terriers are medium-sized dogs with a perfect combination of love and bravery. They make wonderful family pets/companions. They are energetic, playful, and enjoy games like tag and fetch with people of all ages. Most importantly, they are very protective of their families and make excellent watchdogs. In March 2024, we brought Chloe into our family, and she fit right in. She is full of energy and loves to play. Her sire’s name is Stonewall Hell on Wheels, which should have been a hint about her lively spirit. Chloe’s first year with us was a challenge because she had so much energy and a strong will. Every Irish Terrier has its own unique personality. We now have four Irish Terriers, and each one is different. We are not backyard breeders. All our puppies are born and raised in our home. We do not breed show dogs; instead, we focus on raising Irish Terriers as family pets. We concentrate on gentle, loving, loyal, and independent traits to produce high-quality Irish Terriers. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us.
