Get ready to fall head over heels for a girl who defines resilience with every happy tail wag! Anna is a recent tripod, thriving and showing us all how to handle life's hurdles with grace and a really cute smile. She's a beautiful Lab mix, about 52 lbs, with velvety black fur, a bright white chest, and paws dipped in white. Anna is living in a foster home and has let her personality bloom! She is a devoted companion who just wants to be wherever her people are. She's not looking to be a marathon runner; she's looking to be your loyal shadow and the steady heartbeat of your home. She is building her stamina more and more each day and loves joining her people for outings at her own easygoing pace.
Ideal Home
Anna would be happy in a cozy apartment or a house. She enjoys daily outings and has shown how well she can stick close to her person during off-leash time in a safe, familiar setting. She loves the water and happily jumps in for a swim when given the chance. She can handle stairs when needed, but since she is still building up her strength, a home without a mountain of stairs would be her version of paradise. She does have a little bit to say when she's left all alone, so she'd love a home with another doggy sibling or a steady routine to keep her confidence soaring.
Ongoing Health
Anna is a recent tripod, but she navigates the world with a happy spirit.
Training & Support
Anna has officially mastered the art of the crate, finding it to be her ultimate safe haven for naps and slow, peaceful meals. She is a polite, quiet presence in the house who understands that the best things in life, like a good dinner, are meant to be savored slowly while laying down. When it comes to other dogs, Anna is a polite greeter. She takes a quiet second to think before deciding if she wants to be friends. Anna is a total pro at sharing her space and her favorite squeaky toys. She enjoys playful moments and also knows when it's time to relax and nap. Anna has been wonderful with children she has met, including kids between the ages of 8 and 12, showing a calm, gentle, and comfortable demeanor around them. When meeting new people, she may take a moment to take everything in, but she is never vocal, never pushy, and always willing to engage in her own time.
