Meet Petey, an 8-month-old, 55-pound Pointer mix with a heart full of sweetness and a zest for life! Petey had a rough start, escaping a high-kill shelter in North Carolina with just one day to spare. He also overcame an injury that looked like a bullet wound, but he's healed beautifully and is ready to leave his past behind. He loves to run and play with his friend Frankie, another lucky pup who also made it out of the shelter. Petey is eager to become a cherished companion and shower his new family with kisses and fun.

Ideal Home

Petey would love a family who can offer him lots of fun and companionship. A fenced yard is preferred to give him plenty of space to run and play safely.

Ongoing Health

Petey is up to date on his vaccines and will be neutered by the rescue. He has recovered well from his past injury.
