Poor Babies : Joey

Joey is a young male Anatolian Shepherd mix who came to us extremely emaciated and frightened. He's a sweet boy who is slowly learning to trust and come out of his shell. Joey has double back dew claws, which is common in some large breeds.

Ideal Home

Joey would do best in a home that understands the needs of a large breed dog and can provide him with patience and consistent positive reinforcement as he continues to gain confidence.

Ongoing Health

Joey is up-to-date on his puppy shots, flea preventative, and heartworm preventative. He is microchipped with lifetime registration.

Training & Support

As Joey is still a puppy and has had a difficult start, he will benefit from continued socialization and basic obedience training. Patience and love will go a long way in helping him become a well-adjusted companion.

• The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $265.
• If Joey is too young or small to be fixed at the time of adoption, a $75 spay/neuter rebate form will be provided.

Joey is located at our Aurora, IN shelter. Transportation may be available to approved adopters.
