Holly is a beautiful, playful, fun, affectionate, smart, and sometimes stubborn, three or four-year-old, 56-pound, female black and white Husky/Lab-mix looking for a loving guardian. Holly is perfectly housetrained and crate-trained. She knows the commands sit, down, paw, other paw, and roll-over, and loves to show off all her tricks! She’s fine as an apartment or condo dog or in a house and is typically quiet unless she needs to communicate with you. She does have a strong, fun personality and she’s a very smart girl. Holly thinks she’s a snuggly lap dog and LOVES to play ball or zoom around the yard. In the home, she settles down nicely. She often finds stray tennis balls on her daily walks to bring home, gives kisses, and absolutely adores her people. She loves her leashed walks and is absolutely phenomenal in the car. She’s also very good with other dogs. She does have a high prey drive so no cats for her, and she hunts down bunnies and birds on walks. Found as a stray, she was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control and taken in by Friends of Petraits Rescue.
Ideal Home
Holly would do well in an apartment, condo, or house. She would not be a good fit for a home with cats due to her high prey drive.
Ongoing Health
Holly is very healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on rabies, distemper, bordetella, and leptospirosis vaccines. She is fecal and heartworm tested negative and on monthly preventative.
Training & Support
Holly is perfectly housetrained and crate-trained, and knows several commands. She has a strong personality and can be stubborn at times, but she is a very smart girl who loves to please.
