Jasmine

Meet Jasmine, a beautiful German Shepherd mix who's estimated to be around 5 years old. She's a bit on the petite side for her breed, weighing in at a healthy 68 lbs. Jasmine is a bright and attentive girl, a quick learner who already knows how to sit and shake. She was clearly a beloved pet once, and it's a shame she ended up in a shelter.

Ideal Home

Jasmine would thrive in a home with an experienced owner, ideally familiar with German Shepherds or other large, dominant breeds. Because she can be a bit dominant with other dogs, she would do best as the only dog or with a very compatible canine companion. She'd also prefer a family with older children, as she may be too much for younger ones. A quiet or moderately active home would be ideal, as she's not a fan of high-energy households and would likely enjoy the company of people who are home often. A secure, fenced yard would be a dream for her!

Ongoing Health

Jasmine has some sensitivity in her right front elbow, likely due to a past injury that causes her to favor that leg. Our vet recommends a glucosamine-chondroitin supplement, and swimming or laser treatments could also be very beneficial for her. She is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on year-round heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Jasmine is a smart cookie, but can be a little stubborn, which is typical for her breed. She'll do best with an owner who understands how to manage a strong-willed dog.
