Mason

Mason is a 6-month-old, 32-pound Miniature American Shepherd mix who came into our care on June 11. He spent the first two months of his puppyhood in a concrete kennel at the county shelter, initially overwhelmed by new experiences like leashes and crates. When worried, he would urinate submissively, but through patience and kindness, he's blossomed into a confident pup. Mason is crate trained, happily goes in for dinner, and comes when called most of the time. He's eager to learn and please, and his playful spirit shines through.

Ideal Home

Mason would thrive with someone experienced with young dogs or eager to continue his training. A confident, playful canine companion would be a huge plus, as he finds reassurance in his bond with his best friend, Patty, who came with him. A securely fenced yard is a must for him to burn off his puppy energy. We'd prefer he live in a cat-free home, as he enjoys chasing them.

Mason is fully vetted and on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

While Mason is crate trained and house trained, he still has plenty to learn like any young puppy. He is trustworthy when left out of his crate while his foster runs errands. Mason is looking for a family willing to continue building his confidence.

Transporation

Mason is located in our rescue and can be transported safely with one of our trusted transport partners for out-of-state adopters. We adopt to multiple states to help each dog find the perfect forever home.
