About Dixie

Meet Dixie!

Dixie is an approximately 4.5-year-old Boston Terrier weighing around 20 pounds. This sweet, affectionate girl is the perfect combination of playful companion and professional cuddler. Dixie loves people and thrives on human companionship. Whether she's playing with her toys, exploring the yard, or snuggled up on the couch, she's happiest when she's spending time with her family. One of her favorite pastimes is burrowing under blankets for a cozy nap, and she's always ready to curl up beside you at the end of the day. Dixie is outgoing, friendly, and adaptable. She gets along wonderfully with her foster dog siblings and enjoys their company, but she doesn't require another dog in the home to be happy. She's perfectly content being the center of your world and soaking up all the attention herself. Dixie doesn't mind being crated but is trustworthy enough that she doesn't require a crate when her family is away. Her easygoing personality and affectionate nature make her a wonderful fit for many different types of homes. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and happily share your couch, Dixie may be the perfect addition to your family.

Ideal Home

Dixie is adaptable and would be a wonderful fit for many different types of homes. She enjoys the company of other dogs but does not require a canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Dixie does have some mobility limitations in one of her rear legs due to an old injury. At this time, she continues to use the leg and enjoys a full, active life. While amputation could potentially be considered in the future, it is not currently necessary and may never be needed. Dixie doesn't let her leg slow her down and approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and maintained on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Dixie is trustworthy and doesn't require a crate when her family is away.
