My name is Rose Lavelle, and I'm named after a fantastic soccer player! I've got some of her same qualities, like creativity and a surprising amount of power when I play. I absolutely love a good ball or a fun tug toy, and I enjoy surprising my resident dog friend. I'm working hard on my leash manners and walk so close to you, you might need to watch your step! Potty training is also in progress, and I'm even learning to ring the bells on the door to let my foster know I need to go out. My crate is my cozy den, especially with a blanket over it, and I'm a good girl, though I might need a middle-of-the-night potty break. I also do well in my crate when my foster has to leave, which I understand is for my own good.
I'm a social butterfly and love playing with my foster mom's grandkids! However, I can't be left unsupervised with them as they are still very young and might not understand how to play safely with me. My foster mom is teaching me all sorts of new things, from leash walking and potty training to sitting for attention. I'm a fast learner and enjoy exploring new environments, walking on different surfaces, going through tunnels, and even playing the piano! I'm a very special girl because I am deaf, but this doesn't hold me back one bit. Most dogs learn best through body language, and hand signals are a wonderful way to communicate with me once I've got my eyes on you. My foster mom has a neat trick – a gentle touch on my backside gets my attention. If I'm a bit too far away for that, a stomp on the floor will bring me running! I have a heart full of love to give, and I'm looking for a forever home to share it with.
