Meet Chance, a charming 4-year-old neutered and vaccinated Staffie mix with an old soul and a big, happy smile! He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Houston after being abandoned, and his gentle, soulful nature shines through his big brown eyes. Chance is the perfect blend of sweet, goofy, and loving, always ready to brighten your day.
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive in a loving home with a predictable routine. He would do well with a semi-active family that has older kids (who can handle his energetic play style) and another dog his size. Alternatively, he would also be a wonderful, beloved only dog, soaking up all the attention. Due to his strong prey drive, cats are a no-go for Chance.

Training & Support
Chance is a smart boy with a playful, slightly mischievous streak. He is house-trained and knows to alert you when he needs to go out. He sleeps through the night and can be left alone without issue. He's not a fan of closed crates but happily naps in open ones. While he can be a bit stubborn when focused on something like squirrels, the word "cookie" instantly brings him back to good manners! His love of treats makes him an excellent candidate for continued training. He quickly learns routines and has a funny way of "reminding" you when you're running late by standing in the doorway and grunting.

Transporation
Chance is currently located in Texas. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
