Meet Misty!

Misty is a spirited almost four-year-old Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix whose essence is a golden burst of affection wrapped in a 90-pound frame of playful energy and heart-melting cuddles. She's a sweet-natured, medium-energy girl who absolutely adores people, especially kids, and thrives in environments filled with love, consistency, and room to stretch her long legs. Her favorite toy is a squeaky octopus that brings out her goofy, playful side every time!

Ideal Home

Misty needs a home with a spacious fenced yard and a patient, loving caregiver. She must be the only animal in her home.

Ongoing Health

Misty is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Misty is crate trained and house-trained. She knows commands like "come," "sit," "lay," and "stay," though she occasionally needs a reminder. She has severe resource guarding issues, particularly around food, and has had altercations with other dogs in the home. While she's friendly with dogs in controlled environments, she cannot share living space or food areas with other animals. She is a jumper when excited and shines with positive reinforcement and gentle, firm guidance. She’s done well with short periods alone, especially when left with a chew bone, though she’s been known to redecorate with shredded paper if boredom strikes.
