Monroe

Monroe is a beautiful 2-year-old foster girl with a big heart and a soft, eager-to-please energy. She's the kind of pup who really wants to get it right-she's just still learning the ropes! She loves chews, puzzle toys, and being close to her people. Monroe is a thoughtful girl who's learning the world one step at a time. With structure, patience, and love, she's going to make someone an incredible companion.

Ideal Home

Monroe is getting more comfortable with dogs her size. Cats are probably a no due to a bit of a prey drive. She's met two kids and did great-excited at first, then settled nicely and handled it like a champ.

Ongoing Health

Monroe is heartworm positive, but all treatment costs will be fully covered by the rescue.

Training & Support

Monroe is working on her leash manners (she gets excited and pulls a bit!) and is still learning to sit calmly when people pass by. She's also practicing recall, but it's a work in progress with all the exciting distractions around her. She's recently been accident-free! Her only challenge now is figuring out how to tell her humans she needs to go out-once she nails her signal, she'll be golden. Monroe is learning to trust men and continues to improve with patience and positive experiences.
