Meet Joanie – a gentle soul ready to love big! This sweet Hound mix is about 1.5 years old and weighs around 52 pounds. Joanie has overcome so much in her young life, but she greets the world with a soft spirit, kind eyes, and so much love to give. She’s the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart and stays there. Joanie gets along well with dogs, cats, and older children. New experiences can make her a little shy at first, especially around unfamiliar men, but once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality shines through. Watching Joanie learn to trust and open up is incredibly special. Because she spent the first few months of her life outdoors in a busy, chaotic environment, Joanie sometimes takes a little extra time to feel secure. But underneath that cautious beginning is a deeply affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She currently lives with four other dogs of all sizes and fits in beautifully. She’s the kind of dog who will happily curl up nearby after a long day, just content to be close to her people.

Joanie is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She also completed heartworm treatment like a champ and has recovered beautifully.
